Help planning a border?

I think phlox are too demanding of sun for that kind of a border. Same with salvia. Anemone japonica might work with the Solomon's seal as might some of the tall ferns. Good with Hostas and Liriope might be Lamium, Hellbores, Pulmonarias, Epimediums, some of the Heucheras and Primulas.
