Hi, I'm making a sculpture of a alligator holding a beer bottle. I'm making the piece for a bar. The bottle part is easy, but putting beer in it is hard. Since I can't just put beer in my sculpture, I need 2 put a hardened liquid that looks like beer. Hermit Crabs: Sand or Wood Chips?

I'm having trouble keeping my tank moist. I currently have two water dishes (one salt water one regular), moss, fake foliage, some shells, a branch, and a log cut in half used to hide. My substrate is coconut fiber and wood chips but I was thinking that maybe it's the substrate that's causing the humidity problem. I also have a humidity gage and temp gage and is I don't constantly mist my tank the humidity drops down to 20. Any help?

First of all make your know it all boyfriend go out there and do it since he lied. Stand over him if you must in order to get it done. Just pulling up weeds is only a temporary fix. There are products that will kill grass and some spray products that kill weeds. You can use a hoe if want to initially get the weeds out instead of pulling them all day. A hoe is easy to use but it just takes a little muscle. The best thing is to go to a locally owned (not a franchise) nursery and ask what products to buy. After you get all the weeds out a good layer of mulch will keep them from growing. Preen is a great product to use because it prevents the seeds from growing.

Its simply the temp they probably dying because they are not getting enough body heat. Leopard geckos are desert reptiles and need to be in a 90-95 degree F during the day and a 70-80 degree F at night if the temp drops below zero degrees C that is way to cold! I think its the temp because everything youve been doing so far sounds right just the temp doesnt. If that doesnt help you need to take them to a vet ASAP because it could be a disease like impaction or parasitic.

I would assume that you are doing some sort of abstract work on canvas or board? Try using pasta noodles, the angel hair is pretty thin for blades of grasses, then you might want to explore using the bits off of pine cones for large shaped leaves. Just throwing out some ideas...

Help with a Dicentra Burning Heart?

I bought the bulb a couple of months ago and it did really well, so much so that it started to put out tiny flowers but in the past week almost the whole plant foliage has wilted. Fake plants for my bearded dragon?

My vet recently told me that it would be a good idea to get a second hide or some foliage for my bearded dragon's enclosure. Unfortunately, her current hide is too big to fit a second one into the tank, so I decided to go with some fake foliage. Can I choose just any fake plant from a craft store, or should I go with something from a pet store like ZooMed plants? Thanks in advance!

My friends are into Magic and just got me involved, i want to make a green and white deck and im not sure how?

Usually when you create a deck, you stick to a certain amount of elements and a certain race or species of creatures. Since you want to make a white/green dual deck, i suggest you go buy 2 Simic Growth Chambers which are land cards that add 1 green and 1 white mana each turn. (very useful). Also, you should always have a ratio of about one fourth to one third of your cards be lands or manas. So in your case, about 10 plains and 10 forests. You can have less forests and plains if you include the simic growth chambers. You should also keep an about 1 to 1 ration of noncreature spells to creature spells, but it varies depending on what kind of deck. Since you dont really have a set creature type, i would suggest buying more cards, or just putting a bunch of random cards together. If i were you, and I didnt want to spend money, I would start by using the white cards for a cleric deck. First put a Sanctum Guardian and a Oriss, Samite Guardian becuase they have similar effects and can block damage. I would use 2 Daunting Defenders to back up all other clerics, 2 blessed Orators to boost up a little other cards, a Zealous Inquisitor to add a little twist and surprise, and possible one or more of the following : Angelic Blessing, eager Cadet, Noble Templar, Venerable monk, Monk Realist, Glacial Plating, Apothecary Initiate, and other cleric cards or powerful noncreature spells you have. For the green part, go beat, and use your Keeper of the beast. Put about 2 Needleshots, and a Leery Fogbeast to add some power and block flying, and other beasts you seem fit. Since you dont have many choices ininstants or enchantments or whatnot, just put whatever works best and is more powerful.

My polymer clay items are very fragile?

Just to check the dumbest possibility, but you are baking these things at the right temperature and time? Including allowing more time for the thicker items? I don't work a lot in polymer but I played around to understand it and made a small pinch bowl with about 1/4" (6mm) thick sides and bottom and baked it by the rules - it is so tough that I can drop it several feet to the floor or other hard surface without visible damage.

Don't take chances with your cat's health, take her to the vet. She may have a minor injury but you can't be sure of that.I know from experience how what seems like a relatively minor health problem in a cat can in fact be more serious. My was off his food recently and I thought he just had a few bad teeth so I took him to the vet, but he actually has kidney damage. Fortunately this is treatable, but he would have died if i had left it much longer.

Your deck is great, but you need more monsters. other than that, also make shure the amount of trap cards and spell cards are not over but a bit less the amount of monsters you have. I recommend getting a starter deck and then taking out the worse cards.

No one knows if there will be a 3rd season but if you go to manga reader they are updated the quickest. Currently, Yuki is back at the school an restarted the Night Class and has more interactions with Zero. Also, Kaname isn't present in the recent chapters but Yuki is continuing with her role as the death bringer for the vampires. But based on the trends for the anime the next season would need more material for another season to be produced because each season has been based on 5 volumes, so wait a little a new season may be coming on top of that there are a TON of fans so i believe there will be another season! =D

Do you believe in tiers (Super Smash Brothers)?

Tiers have been quite controversial in gaming. But the place I've seen "tier discrimination" the most is in the Super Smash Bros, series. Whenever I go to a Brawl tournament, all I see is a bunch of Meta Knights flying everywhere. A couples of years back, I went to a Melee tournament. And all I saw was a bunch of foxes jumping around. I use Kirby as my main, but whenever I hear, "Kirby was the worst in Melee because the tier list said so," I usually own my opponents with him (in Melee and in Brawl). This lead me to ask you this: Do you believe tiers and tier lists actually tell who the best characters are? Not just in tournaments specifically, but overall. Or do you just have to find a character to fit your own playing style?

You have an interesting start, but you're telling the story when what you want to do is show. I like the idea behind it, but I'd recommend creating scenes where this information comes out gradually. It's a lot to take in at once. One suggestion, interactions with other characters is so important. It's also a good idea to have a character actually doing something, perhaps talking to Nicole while thinking these things and how he has to hid his true identity from her. So much inner monologue is a bit tedious when I'm wondering what the tension is in the story. Give a hint right away of what the conflict is going to be about or you'll lose the reader. Also, use dialogue as a means of getting exposition out. It will make the characters much more interesting. A few suggestions on making it better - good luck!

I think as long as the seller seems reliable, it's a good idea. I have bought two jumbo eyeliner pencils from amazon. I usually just go with what seems most real. And both eyeliner pencils came looking great, but from 2 different users. I haven't tried nail polish, but just be careful.

I would asuggest you might want to consider NOT glazing it or freezing it, since it is very hot out now, and a couple of days in the mail...that thing is going to get funky and possibly moldy. (Too much condensation from the freezer as it thaws.) They do make freezer bags that you can mail in. Not sure you could find one on time. In any case, I would make sure you wrap it first in cling wrap, then put it in an airtight container before sending.

It's all right. You could combine the first two sentences into, "The cool autumn air was so brisk that it stabbed at lung and froze throats." But really, the Second sentence doesn't make much sense. A cool air doesn't really stab lunges or freeze throats; that's more of a winter air. And again, it's mentioned that he's freezing, but that's more of a winter thing than autumn.

Got the plant in Dec, 2010 as a holiday gift (from a garden center) She has been doing well at home indoors on a landing with lots of sun. I repotted in a bonsai container today and trimmed the 5" of root mass to a smaller oval that's now not quite 3" @depth and widest. Then trimmed away like 45% of the branches that crossed and were vertical....attempting the bonsai image...and probably close to 75% of the foliage was cut back, too, but there's still plenty of leaves and two small canopies forming amongst the spacer developing growth. I like where it's @ in "the bonsai training". Guess my question is about what to expect. Water, mist....got that and have read not to feed for a month or 6 weeks...I figure wait till june and hope it lives...what's your experience with the species?

I have inherited this wooden stein from my grandmother when she passed...I can remember seeing it in her house as far back as 30 years or better. I have done some searching online but have not yet been able to find anything even remotely close to a match. Im using Kato clay. Im having trouble making a solid paint color on my cured clay. The label on my acrylic paint says "acrylic gouache". It's really good so far, I didn't notice any spelling issues and it was grammatically consistent. My only problem was I didn't realize that Opal was Ithaca's sister until like the end of the conversation... I thought she was a friend or a maid since she had to explain and help Ithaca get dressed. And the level of formality was a bit odd, not necessarily bad... just odd. I don't describe it all at once when a character walks into a room, I sort of describe it as I go along. For instance, if a character were standing up and walking across a room, I might say, "Her shoes clicked against the marble floor as she walked, echoing through the large room." I think if you present all the details at once, it becomes overwhelming and uninteresting. At the same time, some authors say details are not needed, which I disagree with. I feel that I can imagine what's going on a lot better if I have an idea of where the story is taking place.

To be honest they're both good. It really depends how you want your story to go. I think I like the first one a little bit better though, you used great similies. If you wanted to, you could even combine them. Like have the second one start out the story, then you can have the second one lead into it, like Ariadne can be near the city when she kills the deer (also, you wrote dear, when it's the animal, it's deer)

Why are my plants fading so badly?

The colors on most of my plants in a particular flowerbed are all fading out, almost as if they are bleached out. The flowers, even the foliage are turning white. It's not hot here yet, the temp has been in the 80's and all my plants are pretty hardy for our climate which is an average of 94-98 degrees in the summer. Why do you think my Meyer Lemon is dropping fruit?

I have one that I overwintered in a pot in the house. Most of the winter I had it in a west facing window and it produced one good lemon. It was blooming again and I moved it to another location it just didn't like and it dropped all its flowers. I live in central Alabama and moved it outside in April on my patio which is exposed to mostly the west but a lot of sun from 11:00 on. I have it on a watering timer with several other plants, bulb beds, etc. I water everything every day for about 20 minutes now that we are 95 degrees plus every day. In April the tree was doing fine, had abut 6 fruits set on and started to bloom again. Then, all of a sudden all but two lemons died turning yellow then black. All the blooms have ddisappearedand I have only two lemons left. I am wondering if the hot spell is getting them, although the foliage looks all right or maybe I watered too much. I took the mister out of it and am thinking about moving it more into the shade too. I fertilized it last fall with a blend of organic fertilizers that should now be broken down and usable Any ideas, too much water, too much sun, too little fertilizer?

Why don't we have batteries with plants growing out of them, that collect sunlight and grow? If we did have something like this, the amount of energy collected would increase over time because the foliage would collect more and more light the bigger it grows. i used to raise betas both male and female and they are pretty hardy. Male betas get along well with most small freshwaterfish it seems exept other betas of any sex. However, having a tank with multiple females betas get along. Betas all have different natures so they may like different food. Some ate beta pellets others ate bloodworms (available at walmart or pet places) colored pebbles,freshwater plants and simple fish castles are fine for decoration. Its good you have a large tank with a pump and filter since wild betas are used to living in deep puddles. There are many sites online with more information like temperature and beta care.

The required GPA is a 3.5 so you're fine in that area. The extra curriculars seem to be alright, the issue may be the ACT score. I don't think any college will pick the best individual scores, I think they just take the best overall ACT you have. And while a 24 is a good score for the ACT, I believe UofM requires something like a 27 or 28 for admittance. However, that does not automatically rule you out, but it seems that will be your biggest deterrent.

Luau Baby Shower Dilemma! HELP!!?

Ok, in two months, I am having a baby shower that is going to be a luau/bbq/pool party. I love all kinds of foods and am willing to make anything. However, my husband is very allergic to pineapple....big problem seeing as how everything has pineapple in it! New porous tiles ruined by grouting? PLEASE HELP!!!!?

brand new bathroom and tiled it with a rough textured porcelain tile that has a surface almost like a low grit sandpaper. i thought it would be great for non slip in a bathroom. i put the grout all over the joints and almost immediately started to sponge off...probably 5-10 minutes later. all the edges of where the grout was it left a terrible stain like appearance like the grout(white) saturated the porous tile. the brown tiles now look like they are marbled with salt stains!! i was thinking of just tearing them out and getting a glazed tile....but is there any way to fix this??? damn!

Can I brighten up the old porcelain ceramic tile in my bathroom?

I live in a bungalow built in 1945, and the bathroom is larger than most of that era. I want to keep it as intact as possible. The lower half of the walls, tub surround, walk-in shower, and the floor still have the original white-with-black-trim ceramic tiles. The white is dingy. Can anyone tell me who Yuki ends up with in Vampire Knights?

I've seen the anime which was typical....frustratingly anime. I know Yuki goes with Kaname (which I LOVE) but it's clear that she and Zero are in love as well. This is a tough one for me because Kaname is a die hard do anything, sacrifice anything for Yuki, who doesn't love that?! But Zero has the whole wounded warrior I don't care about my life or anyone other than you which I am a total sucker for. When push comes to shove though I love Yuki and Kaname because he was there tried and true always loving her telling her and protecting her. Zero keeps Yuki at arms length like the rest of the world 90% of the time and only rarely shares his feelings for her. So I'm REALLY hoping someone will tell me what I want to hear, that like in the Anime, although a small part loves Zero, Kaname is her soul mate and they stay together forever.

Want to trim dead branches off my foliage. How much is too much, too little, or is this even necessary?

I have oleanders and some other bushy foliage in the yard. The cold winter seemed to have killed them. Guy told me to cut them all the way down to a bulb. Internet says to cut dead branches 1/3 down. I want to prune where they will grow back quickly. What is the best way?

The glaze won't be nearly as deep a color if your hair is naturally blonde. If you bleach or color it to be blonde, then the hair shafts are really open and will grab a lot deeper shade of the glaze color.

How to handle drawing a forest, all at once or one leaf at a time?

I try to capture how light and shadow play overall with tone and shading when drawing foliage. Then pick a few spots to add some detailed leaves, petals, stalks and limbs. It's just too much to try and faithfully recreate every leaf or blade of grass.

Looking after camillia?

I live in Sydney. I planted a small poney camellia tree last April. I watered it last Tuesday evening after a hot day. Then on the second day I found most of the foliages started turning yellowish or brown. These days it's been boiling hot in Sydney. Should I water the tree more frequently or should leave the yellow tree without doing anything? Thanks!

Acrylic glaze on glass candle holders?

Well i wouldn't think it would because usually acrylic paints are very durable. If you are worried about it burning (i think it would just melt off if anything) Just try it out, experiment with it, to see what happens. In my opinion i think you should just paint a light glaze on the outside of the glass container so the color is seen and the effect is achieved, but you don't run the risk of melting the paint if you did it on the inside.

Can an extra layer of glaze protect me from lead paint in pottery?

yes. However, you should be able to test the bowl to see if there is lead pigment in it. Paint stores sell lead test kits, they are cheap and reliable, especially ones you buy at specialty paint stores like sherwin williams or duron. I dont know if a potter could re-glaze it. But if so it would protect from the lead. I would test it first.

I've just got a Brachyscome iberidifolia, Swan River Daisy, the few tiny flowers on it are dead..?

..the foliage looks okay, pretty bright green but it looks droopy and a little yellow but only at the base. It was bought cheap because it was 'damaged'. My Crested Gecko is staying on the bottom a lot?

I just got my crested gecko today, s/he has already eaten some of her CGD. But i've noticed that s/he stays on the bottom a lot, she rarely goes up to the top, I have an Exo-Terra 18 x 18 x 24" Terrarium with lots of Foliage and a large branch for her to climb on. I also have a Boston Fern made my Exo-Terra and she seems to stay on that quite a bit, but i never see her up in the trees, i thought maybe it was because I her daytime bulb on so she was hiding, but i just turned all of the animals lights off and she is still underneath the Boston fern, is something wrong?

Where could I order a reasonably priced, small to medium sized electric kiln?

I enjoy ceramic sculpting, but I haven't been able to in a good while without a kiln to bisque or glaze them in. Does anyone know where I could buy a kiln that's around one square foot for up to $400? I'd prefer something in the $200s range, if possible. I'm perfectly fine with used or refurbished kilns, rust is fine as long as it's purely cosmetic. Doesn't have to do a medium/high cone, since I mainly do sculptural, but the capability would be nice.

I loved the first paragraph. It is a very dramatic and intense death scene. I like the details and the intricacies of a potential vampiric death. It seems to take longer than is traditional but it is wonderfully vivid. The rest of it (for me) is teen romantic drivel. I don't have a problem with her loving a vampire it is just the extremism of it all. He being the only vamp she could ever stand, the only one she ever loved because he was a good vampire? I have a problem with animal blood drinking vamps when he could just get some from a local blood bank. But otherwise this kindly vampire thing doesn't sit well with all readers of vampire lore.

Wearing hunter orange has done nothing statistically to reduce injury from hunting related accidents. That's why the majority of the states have not mandated it as "the Law" what it does do is it makes it easier for the game wardens, none hunters or PETA's to locate you to either avoid you or harass you or check you to make sure you have not violated any laws. I never wear it and have difficult problems as it is with PETA types following me when I enter the woods. Now I use a take down bow stashed in my pack and dress like a yuppie city hiker. I can now get to my tree-stand in peace and avoid all the hassles.

I know there was but I don't know about now. I suppose fish can get to or already are in the pond. There is some vegetation and fallen trees. I also see many fowl who poke their heads into the water and I think they wouldn't be there if there were no fish. There is a small pond that has many fish and it drains into the larger pond that I'm talking about. But the streams that lead into it are very shallow and I don't know if a fish can go through it. I also have never caught a fish but I may be doing it wrong. Finally, I heard fish like to live around fallen foliage and there is a lot of that in the pond.
