What kind of plants should I get for my Betta?

So, I recently got a small tank and a Betta and I'm just wondering what kind of plant(s) I should get in the tank. I know Bettas like hiding in the foliage, etc. I don't really want to buy real ones, so I'm leaning towards plastic or silk ones. Which material would be better? I've also read online that Ludwiga is a good suggestion for them, anything else that I'd be able to find at a fish/pet store (preferably Big Al's)? Thanks!
