What are these strange plants in my garden?

Think you might find that they are "cyclamen" the tendrils you descibe are the plants method of pushing the seed away from the parent plant. Each disc will have one flower per season and only one or two leaves. The flowers are usually pink or white and are unscented. I have a large area under some trees in my garden which has been virtually taken over by these plants in the last 10 years.
